PROJECTS

Our experience covers a wide variety of projects in both the public, private and corporate sector from high value regeneration and refurbishment contracts in the sensitive areas of social housing and estate transfers.

In the Public Sector

In the past ten years the practice has provided a range of consultancy services. Our clients have included local authorities and/or registered social landlords. In the Private & Corporate Sector some examples of current projects are:

St. Joseph’s Church – Highgate Hill

Working with English Heritage we have been involved in a range of conservation and renovation works to this Grade II* Listed Romanesque church. We are playing an important role in advising the Passionist Order of St. Joseph about sources of grants and allowances. The advice includes the preparation of application to the Historic Churches Committee for consents and to Heritage Lottery and other sources for funding.

Dun Na Sead Castle – Southern Ireland

The sensitive and specialist repair of the shell and fitting out of this historic building has been an interesting challenge. It has required the careful step by step monitoring of the work in accordance with the consents granted by the planning authorities and DUCHAS, (the Heritage Service) and the brief set by designers and specialist consultants.

BBC Facilities – London and Birmingham

We are currently involved in the BBC’s new £40M bi-media complex in Birmingham having completed our involvement in the final extension to the Television Centre and several fitting out contracts in London. The contracts require working to tight deadlines accommodating specialist sound and acoustic elements and responding to the ever-evolving requirements of a dynamic organisation.

Heritage Lottery Fund

To date we have provided a project monitoring and assessment service for a number of projects including the Women’s Library in Aldgate and the Banbury Museum as well as being responsible for the option appraisal for the successful funding application for St. Martin in the Fields.
